Sonic Wisdom Sound MeditationĀ
Saturday: November 16, 2024 - from 6-8pm
Sonic Wisdom Sound Meditation is an acoustic, intuitive, multi-instrumental voice and sound journey that harnesses the power of vibration to bring participants into meditative states and deeper connection with Self. This is achieved by multiple facilitators manipulating voice and sound to offer a vibrational experience based on what participants need.
The goal of this approach is to encourage parasympathetic nervous system activation, so participants can access higher states of consciousness, tuning into which aspects of their physical, mental, emotional, and energetic bodies that need support.
Following the journey, participants express they feel physically relaxed, mentally clear, and emotionally balanced in an array of feelings like contentment, clarity, and love. A variety of therapeutic instruments will be used that correlate to the chakra system, natural elements, and shamanic, heart-opening and celestial energy.
Instruments can include: gong, crystal and Tibetan bowls, prayer drum, flutes, harmonium, harp, guitar, chimes, and more.
This experience is hosted by the San Diego Voice and Sound Collective, a group of sound facilitators that have completed Modules 1 & 2: 'Multi-Instrumental Sound and Voice Facilitator Training' with Shervin Boloorian of Sound Healing Bali, an award-winning international musician, sound healer, and educator, whose unique approach to sound journeys has made him one of the premier facilitators and teachers around the world. Shervin has trained with the world renowned Fabian Mamen, a French musician, composer, acupuncturist, author, researcher, healer, teacher, bioenergetician, and martial artist that founded the Tama-Do: Way of the Soul - Academy of Sound, Color and MovementĀ®, a program teaching the evolution of consciousness using non-invasive vibrational techniques and seasonal healing concerts.Ā
*Please bring a pen and journal, layers, a yoga mat, pillows, blankets, blocks, bolster or anything else that will allow you to find comfort on the floor in seated positions or laying down. There will be time set aside at the end for sharing and community building as well.
